A few weekends back I tried my hand at donut-making – specifically baked donuts with an added healthy twist… a substitution of gluten free flour instead of the normal flour from the recipe.
It was a surprising success, although the lavender addition was not loved by all. I was quite chuffed to be able to utilize the beautiful, fragrant lavender petals my sister brought all the way from Hong Kong a few months back. In my mind the white chocolate & lavender combination was lovely, but probably a somewhat unique flavour for some!
I will be testing a few more baked donut recipes in the near future & will experiment with some lovely glazing options and decorating techniques…
